Your Role on the Team Position Summary The Gift Shop Manager is responsible for the daily operations of the Gift Shop including analysis of the market, buying and inventory control, establishing pricing structures, financial tracking, and supervision of both volunteer and paid staff. Develops and implements programs in support of medical center initiatives that will enhance the patient experience. Participates on various committees and effectively represents the Gift Shop and Patient Relations to staff, faculty, patients and visitors
Required Qualifications What It Takes to be Successful - Reporting and analytical skills appropriate to job duties described
- Previous experience with product buying and inventory
- Must possess the skill, knowledge and ability essential to the successful performance of assigned duties
- Must demonstrate customer service skills appropriate to the job
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English
- Demonstrated understanding of MS Office programs, including Word, Excel and Access
- Demonstrated supervisory or lead experience in a retail environment
- Ability to maintain a work pace appropriate to the workload
- Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships across the Health System
