Opportunity for advancement and training. Day and night shifts. Extra 75 cents an hour for hours worked between 7PM and 7AM.

MUST HAVE FORK LIFT DRIVING EXPERIENCE. Preference for past manufacturing experience with mixing compounds and resins.

This posting is for our Main Paragould Plant located at 2211 N. 12th Avenue in Paragould, AR.

PURPOSE

Sets-up (changeovers), troubleshoots blending equipment for the Inline Department. Operate the railcar unloading system. Monitor the 15 Inline machines by performing the following duties

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES includes the following. Other duties may be assigned.

  • Connect the railcar unloading piping to the correct railcars for that particular material.
  • Coordinate pumping of raw materials into silos.
  • Remove the unused raw material, scrap plastic, cardboard and general trash from the Inline machines daily and when orders are complete.
  • Using the current Oracle system, identify the material and label it then scan it to the storage area.
  • Connect the raw materials to feed hoppers, blending systems, auxiliary storage tanks, transfer tubing and the extruder hoppers as needed.
  • Assist in trouble shooting with manufacturing personnel any issues related to flow of raw materials or blends to production lines.
  • Capable of identifying the different material lines for each blender, extruder and auxiliary storage tank and ensuring the right material.
  • Setup and manages blender settings desired for each line based on finished product spec and raw material/regrind available.
  • Capable of changing regrind percentages to manage the surge bin and stock regrind levels.
  • Ability to work off Oracle work orders and understand percentage needed to produce finished product.
  • Have the ability to identify all raw materials used in the facility.
  • Fill blenders and extruder hoppers with the specific materials required for the appropriate work order.
  • Operate the baler, compactor, scales, wrapper machines and all blending equipment. Maintain and clean all equipment assigned as needed.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE

High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or one to three months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

LANGUAGE ABILITY

Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to speak effectively with customers or employees of organization.

MATH ABILITY

Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using fractions and whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to interpret Inline work orders and compute rate, ratio, and percent. Reasoning Ability: Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form. Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.

COMPUTER SKILLS

Advanced Computer skills needed. Certificates and Licenses: Must be forklift certified.

CERTIFICATES AND LICENSES

Must be forklift certified. Forklift certification requires a valid State driver’s license at Anchor.

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES

This job has no supervisory responsibilities. This is a self- managed position.

The employee must frequently lift and/or move up to 50 pounds. Inline Mixers add regrind to the mix by using a pallet dump station or sometimes by bucket. Buckets usually weigh less than 10 lbs.; however up to 20 buckets can be added per minute. Mixers also handle 50-100 lbs. bags and drums of the raw materials to position them for use.
