Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Speech-Language Pathology Assistant (SLPA) with experience in both school and healthcare settings to support students in a K-12 educational environment located in Tacoma, WA. This contract position spans the entire school year, offering an opportunity to contribute to the speech and language development of diverse learners in a dynamic setting.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide direct speech and language therapy services under the supervision of a licensed Speech-Language Pathologist
• Assist in creating and implementing individualized treatment plans for students with communication disorders
• Document therapy sessions and progress accurately in compliance with school policies
• Collaborate with educators, therapists, and families to support student communication goals
• Participate in professional development and team meetings as required

Qualifications and Experience:

• Valid SLPA certification or licensure relevant to both school and healthcare environments
• Experience working as an SLPA in K-12 schools and healthcare settings is highly desirable
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to engage children and adolescents
• Knowledge of speech and language disorders and related therapeutic techniques
• Ability to follow treatment plans and maintain confidential records
