Job Description

A School Speech-Language Pathology Assistant (SLPA) opportunity is available to support K-3 students in a dynamic educational environment. This contract position, spanning the school year, offers the chance to work within two elementary schools, providing direct assistance to licensed Speech-Language Pathologists (SLPs) in delivering speech and language services.

Location:

• Based in Carthage, MO
• Serving two elementary schools (K-3)

Responsibilities:

• Provide speech therapy support as outlined in IEPs, primarily focusing on speech-only or combined speech and Specific Learning Disabilities (SLD).
• Collaborate closely with the assigned SLPs in each building to implement therapy plans.
• Assist with documentation and progress tracking for assigned students.
• Maintain a professional and supportive environment conducive to student growth.

Work Schedule:

• Monday through Friday, five days a week
• Hours: 8:00 AM to 2:30 PM with a 30-minute lunch break

Qualifications:

• Valid SLPA credential/license
• Experience working with K-3 students preferred
• Ability to follow treatment plans independently and effectively
• Strong interpersonal skills to work collaboratively with SLPs, educators, and students
• Organized and reliable with attention to detail
