Seeking experienced professionals skilled as Sign Language Interpreters and American Sign Language Teachers for full-time, onsite positions in Brewton, AL. These contract roles involve working within educational settings to support students across multiple schools during the 2023-2024 academic year.

Position Details:

• Two openings available:
  • Opening 1: Sign Language Interpreter or ASL Teacher serving K-12 students across three schools.
  • Opening 2: Sign Language Interpreter or ASL Teacher serving K-4 students at one school.
• Full-time mitments, onsite presence is required.
• Contract-based roles during the 2023-2024 school year.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide accurate and effective sign language interpretation or instruction to enhance munication and learning for Deaf or hard-of-hearing students.
• Collaborate with educators, staff, and families to implement appropriate support strategies aligned with students individual needs.
• Participate in developing and adapting curriculum and lesson plans tailored to students' language requirements.
• Maintain professional standards and confidentiality in all student interactions.

Desired Qualifications:

• Proficiency in American Sign Language and certified interpreter or teaching credentials preferred.
• Experience working with K-12 students in educational settings.
• Excellent munication, collaboration, and organizational skills.
• Ability to work full-time onsite and navigate between multiple school sites (for first opening).
