About this Role The primary responsibility of the Senior Network and Cyber Security Administrator is to develop, implement, and oversee strategic plans and initiatives for secure network infrastructure, cybersecurity protocols, and data protection measures. The role focuses on maintaining robust network communications, managing cybersecurity threats, and ensuring the alignment of security practices with corporate objectives and compliance standards. Responsibilities Include: Design, implement, and maintain secure network architectures to protect organizational assets. Conduct regular vulnerability assessments and penetration tests to identify and mitigate risks. Monitor network traffic for suspicious activity and respond promptly to security incidents. Develop and enforce security protocols, policies, and procedures across the organization. Implement cutting-edge security solutions, including firewalls, intrusion detection systems, and anti-malware software. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to promote security awareness and best practices. Ensure compliance with industry regulations (e.g., SOC) and organizational standards. Stay updated on emerging threats and technologies to keep security measures ahead of potential risks. Required Qualifications To succeed in this position, candidates must have: Proven experience in network administration and cyber security (minimum 8 years). Proficiency in tools and frameworks such as Wireshark, Kali Linux, Splunk, and other security platforms. Strong knowledge of protocols such as TCP/IP, DNS, and VPNs. Ability to influence without authority. Excellent problem-solving skills with a proactive approach to identifying and resolving issues. Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team. Exceptional communication skills, both written and verbal. Preferred Skills While not mandatory, the following skills will give candidates an edge: Experience with cloud-based environments, such as AWS and Azure. Knowledge of programming languages like Python, JavaScript, or PowerShell for automation and security tasks. Familiarity with zero-trust architecture strategies. Experience in forensic analysis and incident response. Overall infrastructure experience. A bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Cyber Security, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
