Job Overview: A law firm seeks a highly skilled Senior Associate or Counsel to join its Litigation Group. This full-time position offers the flexibility of remote or hybrid work. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience handling high-stakes employment and commercial litigation matters. The role requires a strong ability to manage complex cases from start to finish while mentoring junior attorneys and supporting staff. Duties: Led and managed employment and commercial litigation cases, overseeing all phases from initiation to final resolution. Supervise and mentor junior attorneys, paralegals, and other support staff, guiding case management and legal strategies. Collaborate with clients to understand their needs and develop tailored litigation strategies. Conducted legal research and drafted motions, briefs, and other legal documents. Represent clients in court, depositions, mediations, and other proceedings. Maintain a high level of organization and manage a caseload efficiently, ensuring deadlines are met. Requirements: Minimum of 7 years of experience in employment and/or commercial litigation. Proven ability to handle complex litigation matters with minimal supervision. Strong case management and time management skills. Demonstrated expertise in developing litigation strategies and providing legal counsel. Ability to work independently while also contributing to a collaborative team environment. Strong oral and written communication skills. Education: Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school. Certifications: Bar admission in the District of Columbia, or eligibility to waive in. Skills: Advanced analytical skills and attention to detail. Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously. Excellent verbal and written communication. Ability to supervise and mentor junior staff. Ability to work effectively under pressure and in a fast-paced environment. Competitive benefits package.
