Position Summary

Reporting to the Group Chief Actuary, the Senior Actuary will lead Group Actuarial projects, analysis, and reporting. This role has high visibility among senior leaders and is based in the New York metropolitan area or Chicago, IL.

Responsibilities

  • Lead and support projects to enable the Group Actuarial strategy and vision.
  • Manage Group Actuarial analysis and reporting, both regular and ad hoc.
  • Develop solutions to streamline Group Actuarial needs.
  • Partner with colleagues and stakeholders to deliver insights based on data and analysis.
  • Collaborate to enhance and leverage Group data.
  • Lead external benchmarking efforts.
  • Work with Chief Actuaries to ensure consistency across global actuarial teams.
  • Embody The Ascot Way in daily interactions, promoting engagement, collaboration, inclusivity, and accountability.

Requirements

  • 7-10 years of relevant actuarial experience.
  • ACAS required, FCAS preferred.
  • Strong collaboration and business focus.
  • Creative problem-solving, strategic thinking, and business acumen.
  • Strong data and analytical skills; experience with SQL, R, Python beneficial.
  • Excellent organizational and attention to detail skills.
  • Position level may vary based on experience.

Compensation

The annual base pay range in New York is $205,000 - $220,000, with total compensation including bonuses and discretionary rewards.
