Job Description

The Outside Sales Representative is responsible for driving revenue growth by developing and maintaining customer relationships, identifying new business opportunities, and executing sales activities. This role requires proactive engagement in lead generation and sales strategy execution to support company goals.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Sales and Business Development:
    • Develop client and prospect relationships to drive sales through direct interactions via telephone, video calls, email, and in-person visits.
    • Search for and cultivate new leads through cold calling, networking, and participation in industrial trade shows.
    • Create and execute sales plans, identify potential leads, and close sales while working independently.
  2. Client Management:
    • Maintain and further develop relationships with assigned accounts to maximize growth and profitability.
    • Visit customers as needed to resolve issues and work with internal Account Mangers to coordinate activities related to customer samples and projects.
  3. Market Research and Strategic Development:
    • Assist in the investigation and execution of marketing efforts to promote the company’s services and develop competitive advantages.
    • Contribute to the development of corporate vision, including support for new initiatives and programs.
  4. Collaboration and Reporting:
    • Collaborate with internal teams to align on sales strategies and operational execution.
    • Report on sales activities, forecasts, and market analysis to Management.
  5. Travel Requirements:
    • Attend internal and external sales meetings, trade shows, and industry events as needed to support sales objectives.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s or Associate’s degree in Business, Engineering, or a related field, with a minimum of five years of relevant sales experience. Equivalent combinations of education and experience will be considered.
  • Technical or sales experience in the metals industry (e.g., foundry, machine shop, metal fabrication, or processing) is preferred.
  • Understanding of manufacturing supply chain dynamics and marketing concepts is highly desirable.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills with the ability to read, analyze, and interpret technical, financial, and legal documents.
  • Proficiency in CRM software, Microsoft Office, and basic mathematical computations.
  • Ability to apply logical and scientific principles to sales challenges and business development efforts.
