Job Description
We are looking for a skilled Criminal Defense Attorney with over three years of experience to join our law firm client's team in the Gilbert / Chandler, Arizona area. This role is a hybrid position, offering a mix of in-office and remote work, and focuses on handling misdemeanor cases with occasional more serious charges. Responsibilities:
• Represent clients in criminal defense cases, primarily misdemeanors, with some more serious charges as required.
• Conduct thorough legal research and prepare well-drafted briefs and motions.
• Collaborate with clients to gather case details, provide legal counsel, and ensure their rights are protected.
• Attend court proceedings, including hearings and trials, to advocate effectively on behalf of clients.
• Manage case files using case management software to maintain organization and compliance.
• Coordinate with legal support staff to ensure smooth case handling and document management.
• Utilize tools such as Adobe Acrobat for document preparation and review.
• Leverage knowledge of consumer electronics and related evidence in criminal cases.
• Work two days a week in-office and three days remotely for optimal efficiency.
• Maintain a detail-oriented relationship with clients, prosecutors, and court officials to facilitate case resolution.
• A minimum of three years of experience practicing criminal law.
• Proficiency in legal software and case management platforms.
• Strong skills in legal briefing, civil litigation, and claim administration.
• Experience handling complaints and providing effective resolutions.
• Ability to manage criminal law cases with attention to detail and professionalism.
• Familiarity with document management systems and conveyancing processes.
• Exceptional communication and advocacy skills, both written and verbal.
