JOB RESPONSIBILITES

This position is responsible for accurately applying the embroidery designs on garments.

• Carefully read WO to identify the correct embroidery design, placement, and garment to be embroidered to assure the maximum level of quality.
• Make sure that the correct color of thread is on the machine for the requested design.
• Hoop the garment in the correct location using the correct backing for the material of the item.
• Be sure the garment is placed on the machine securely.
• Load the design onto the machine using the appropriate drive.
• Determine the design orientation and enter it into the machine to reflect the direction of the sew out.
• Trace the design to make sure that it fits into the parameters of the hoop.
• Start the machine and hoop up the next set of garments.
• When the machine has finished the design, inspect the garment and trim if necessary.

QUALIFICATIONS FOR AN EMBROIDERY OPERATOR

• High School diploma required
• Must be able to stand 8-10 hours per day
• Good with attention to detail and multi-tasking
• Must be able to lift up to 25 pounds
• Works well as a team
