We are currently seeking Electricians and Helpers/Apprentices!

Job Type: Full-time

Electrician - Pay: $22.00 - $28.00 per hour *(5-YEAR MINIMUM EXPERIENCE)*

Helper/Apprentice - Pay: $18.00 - $20.00 per hour *(2-YEAR MINIMUM EXPERIENCE)*

***PAY RATE WILL BE BASED UPON COMMERCIAL/INDUSTRIAL EXPERIENCE.***

ELECTRICIAN

We are looking for an experienced Electrician to undertake a variety of tasks relating to setting up and maintaining electrical infrastructure. Your job will involve installing electrical wiring in buildings and poles, troubleshooting malfunctions and blackouts and repairing appliances. Due to the high amount of risk pertaining to this job, electricians must be first and foremost responsible individuals with great attention to safety precautions. The ideal candidate must be experienced in different kinds of electrical devices and systems. The goal will be to produce and maintain well-functioning electrical connections to minimize the probability of accidents and maximize usability of electricity in all facilities.

Some of the responsibilities will include:

• Install, maintain and repair electrical control, wiring, and lighting systems.
• Read technical diagrams and blueprints.
• Perform general electrical maintenance.
• Inspect transformers and circuit breakers and other electrical components.
• Troubleshoot electrical issues using appropriate of testing devices.
• Install new, repair or replace equipment, electrical wiring, or fixtures.
• Follow National Electrical Code state and local building regulations.
• Circuit breaker corrective maintenance.
• Good knowledge of various test equipment.

• Install, repair, and maintain electrical components of industrial equipment.
• Work as a team member or alone to complete projects.

• Observe safety procedures and meet electrical codes.

• Make decisions based on technical documents.

• Perform quality testing and inspections.

• Execute plans of electrical wiring for well functioning lighting, intercom and other electrical systems

• Install electrical apparatus, fixtures and equipment for alarm and other systems

• Install safety and distribution components (e.g. switches, resistors, circuit-breaker panels etc.)

• Connect wiring in electrical circuits and networks ensuring compatibility of components

• Prepare and assemble conduits and connect wiring through them

• Prevent breakdown of systems by routinely inspecting and replacing old wiring and insulated cables, cleaning circuits etc.

• Perform effective troubleshooting to identify hazards or malfunctions and repair or substitute damaged units

Skills:

• Proven experience as an electrician
• Experience in industrial and/or commercial electrical systems
• Demonstrable ability to use electrical and hand tools (e.g. wire strippers, voltmeter etc.) and electrical drawings and blueprints
• Thorough knowledge of safety procedures and legal regulations and guidelines
• Excellent critical thinking and problem-solving ability
• Excellent physical condition and flexibility to work long shifts and weekends if required
• Diploma in relevant vocational training or successfully completed apprenticeship as an electrician is a plus
• Valid license to practice profession

HELPER/APPRENTICE

Electrician Apprentice/Helper
Electrician Apprentice/Helper Responsibilities:

• Learning from the master electrician and completing all assigned duties.
• Identifying, analyzing, troubleshooting, and assisting with repairs of equipment and electrical faults.
• Traveling out to various public and private spaces to assist the master electrician.
• Interpreting blueprints and schematics.
• Updating work logs, filling out daily work order logs, and handling other employee duties.
• Replacement parts and equipment as needed.
• Completing electrical installations and carrying out various maintenance duties.
• Working regular hours and overtime when required.
• Communicating with clients in a professional, courteous manner at all times.
• Collaborating with construction workers, plumbers, and other crew members.

Electrician Apprentice/ Helper Requirements:

• 2 - 5 years experience.
• Practical experience working with electrical systems and equipment.
• Ability to read technical manuals, blueprints, and schematics.
• Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills.
• A willingness to learn and work overtime when required.
• Ability to handle criticism appropriately.
• A valid driver's license or reliable transport.
