Job Description
IES Residential is currently seeking an Electrician Helper - Installation and repair of electrical wiring, fixtures, and equipment.
- Measures, cuts, and bends wire using hand tools
- Drills holes for wiring, using power drill, and pulls or pushes wiring through opening
- Assist with installation and repair of outlets, lights, fixtures, and switches
- Carry, hold, and position materials required to complete the project
- Maintain tools and equipment and keeps supplies and parts in order
- Communicate with others and take direction given by leadership
- Promptly reports unsafe conditions to responsible person

Specific Qualifications
Duties & Responsibilities may include: - Assist in completion of house rough in to include measuring, cutting, and pulling wire
- Install trim to include plugs, lights, fixtures, and switches
- Carry materials and tools
- Clean work area and equipment
- Maintains working relationship with leadman and division manager
- Reports progress and problems to management regularly and provides creative solutions
- Maintains knowledge of and enforces company safety rules and procedures
- Quickly corrects any potential hazard or promptly reports the hazard to the responsible person
- Communicate with others, including taking direction from leadman
- Residential Electrical new construction experience
- A valid driver's license
- Must be able to pass and comply with all safety training, background check and drug testing requirements
- Already have basic tools is a plus
- Ability to work in extreme weather
- Ability to climb ladders
