Responsibilities

• Reports to Managing Editor; receives tasks from editorial and design staff as approved
• Schedules and tracks production deadlines for editorial and design staff using project management software
• Writes monthly articles and other copy as assigned
• Creates, writes, and/or tests recipes around a monthly theme as assigned
• Maintains up-to-date department records 
• Interfaces with magazine contributors, inside and outside of the organization, to ensure clear communication and timely delivery of information and content
• Manages monthly mailing list organization and print orders
• Edits and/or proofreads magazine copy
• Attends weekly staff meetings, regular meetings with Managing Editor, and quarterly magazine team meetings

• Excellent command of vocabulary, spelling, grammar, and writing
• Top-tier organizational, verbal, and written communication skills
• Team player, flexible, and versatile
• Working knowledge of printing, publishing, and graphic arts procedures and related computer software
• Proficient keyboarding and other computer skills
• Detail-oriented

Part-time position, 20-25 hours per week according to workload

Hourly pay rate plus quarterly bonuses based on profit; Pay is bi-weekly
