About Us:
Grace Deli and Cafe, located in Downtown San Jose, is renowned for serving high-quality, freshly prepared American breakfast and lunch. We pride ourselves on crafting our dishes from scratch, including our unique sauces. Join us in delivering an exceptional culinary experience to our customers!
Position:
Cashier/Barista(EXPERIENCED)
Hours:

• Monday to Friday: 7 AM - 2 PM
• No nights or weekends!
• Major holidays off

Key Responsibilities:

• Manage and operate the cash register efficiently and accurately.
• Assist with the preparation and organization of catering orders.
• Prepare and serve coffee beverages and other drinks following established recipes.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization at the register counter, coffee station, and utensils area.
• Provide friendly customer service and assist guests as needed.

Other Responsibilities: (If needed)

• Provide excellent food preparation service
• Engage with customers, sharing information about our menu items
• Food preparation: cutting, chopping, refilling the station, etc.
• Assist in making sandwiches, salads, soups, wraps, and burritos
• Prepare and manage other food items
• Cleaning and dishwashing
• Maintain a clean and organized work area

Qualifications:
Experience: 1 year of barista and cashier experience (e.g., sandwiches, salads, soups, wraps, burritos)
Certification: Valid Food Handler or ServSafe certification (or obtain within 30 days of hire)
Skills:

• Strong verbal communication in English
• Reliable and punctual
• Able to handle stress and maintain a positive attitude
• Enthusiastic about great food and customer interaction
