**Location:** We are looking for candidates who reside in the greater Los Angeles area, as our team operates from both NYC and California.

**About the Role:**
As an Assistant Account Executive, you will play a key role in developing media relationships to secure impressive placements in national, regional, and trade media (print, broadcast, and online). We are looking for someone who is a quick learner, enjoys multitasking, is detail-oriented, and thrives in a fast-paced environment. You will have the opportunity to travel to client locations, participate in press trips, and attend client events as needed. A passion for the travel and hospitality industry, along with a proactive approach to researching trends, is essential. Please note that work travel and a valid passport are required.
In this role, you will also assist in researching and analyzing issues relevant to our clients, supporting day-to-day public relations activities and account administration. We encourage every team member to excel and fast-track their career by showcasing their capabilities.
**Key Responsibilities:**
- Support team members by managing daily account activities, including client correspondence.
- Respond to media inquiries, develop pitches, and collaborate with targeted media on story development. Serve as the primary contact for media and Travel PR clients.
- Write and distribute various materials, including pitch letters, press releases, backgrounders, fact sheets, bios, and newsletters.
- Research and monitor clients' businesses and industries to maintain a current knowledge base.
- Assist with account administration tasks, such as preparing client activity reports and meeting agendas.
- Help with research and preparation for new business pitches.
- Coordinate the production and distribution of materials with internal departments to create print and video products.
- Organize and implement events and promotions for clients.
- Represent clients at events or trade shows.
- Proactively develop relationships with external audiences (media, third-party constituencies, etc.) to convey clients' messages.
- Assist in mentoring and coaching department interns.
- Contribute to the overall success of the Travel & Lifestyle division.
**Requirements:**
- A bachelor's degree.
- Prior experience in a PR agency or relevant internships in PR, communications, or journalism.
- Familiarity with traditional and social media strategies and campaigns.
- Strong project management skills with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills, including PR writing and editing.
- Detail-oriented, organized, self-motivated, and a team player with a professional demeanor.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment while effectively multitasking and meeting deadlines.
- Willingness to travel for business as required.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office products.
- Experience in travel/tourism public relations is a plus, but not required.
